This is a listing of projects that have been completed by Biology students. The majority of the projects have been done as part of the 'GIS in Biology' class. For this reason they are outstanding. The students are in their first class using GIS and have been able to combine their knowledge of GIS software and Biology in a short time with outstanding results.
- Terry Haverkost: A compilation of recent data on West Nile Virus cases for 4 midwestern states. Data is presented for people, birds, and horses.
- Brian Jensen: This project shows the history of deer taken in the Frenchman Wildlife Management Area for ten years, comparing four units within the area.
- Hubble Reichert: This project shows a lost-cost way to equip a combine with a GPS unit and yield-monitor to produce yield maps of fields. Then comparisons are made with systems
